There is a huge amount of research on the benefits of learning and participating in music!

Music-making aids the development of cognitive, expressive, creative, social and physical skills. Learning music is also known to be beneficial in assisting the development of self-expression, focus and self confidence. Interestingly, many individuals with autism have heightened musical abilities, with a higher average posessing "perfect pitch".

"For me, the most exciting thing is to see the students' increase in confidence, and incredibly, I have seen this with all of my students. Music has the powe!r to do this!"

"Musical activity involves nearly every region of the brain that we know about, and nearly every neural subsystem.”
